PERSONAL INFORMATION/BACKGROUND:

In the spring of 2023 I decided to retire from General Motors after nearly 39 years in product development and join my wife in her real estate practice. While at GM, I ran engineering teams developing products for customers around the world. Through my work there, I've been fortunate to have traveled the country and the world, picking up skills and experiences that are useful right here in southeast Michigan in my second career as a Realtor®. My wife Chris and I have lived in the area since 1999, moving here from Linden, MI. What a great place this has been to raise our family! Neither Chris nor I are native Michiganders-but we've spent most of our adult lives here, and we love calling Michigan our home. Our older son is a graduate of the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and works in the finance industry in Manhattan while our younger son graduated from Michigan Tech and is a computer engineer living in Rochester, MN. Our fluffy, lovable pandemic puppy Rosie always keeps us laughing and smiling!

Choosing real estate as my second career was easy. In developing automotive products, I always kept the customer at the center of everything I did. In real estate, keeping the customer at the center of my activities is still my cornerstone principle. I'm joining my wife Chris as part of our Benedict-Homes team; Chris has been a successful Realtor® in the area for many years, and real estate dovetails nicely with our mutual interest in home renovation and improvement, which includes a top to bottom renovation of our previous home, a circa-1850's farmhouse in downtown Northville.

Giving back to my community has been an important part of my life. Over the years I've served in various roles within our church (Council, choir and other activities) and have volunteered in many different capacities as our boys have grown-soccer coach, Cub Scout/Webelos den leader etc. In my spare time I love to read, run, bike, kayak, travel, hang out with family and friends or try to work in a quick round of golf. Chris and I have also been busy taking tennis lessons through the Novi Sports Club, and have recently tried our hand (paddle?) at pickleball-America's fastest growing sport; it's always fun to try something new!

I look forward to building a relationship with you as we work together on your unique home buying or selling experience!
